How much does each coaching session cost?VIRTUAL SESSIONS $100 per 25-minute session $200 per 50-minute session $300 per 90-minute session IN-PERSON SESSIONS* not currently being offered $220 per 50-minute session 10% price discount for packages of 5 or more sessions. All sessions and session packages must be paid in full, in advance. *In-person sessions are subject to additional fees depending on location and drive time. 90-minute sessions are recommended for sessions with more than one participant to allow time for both people to be heard and coached.
-
How long are the coaching sessions?I offer 25 and 50-minute sessions. Longer sessions are available per request. I recommend starting with a minimum of one to four 50-minute sessions before moving on to 25-minute sessions which are best for check-ins and accountability once a plan is in place.
-
How often will coaching sessions take place?Sessions can be scheduled as-needed, determined by your goals, availability, and desire for accountability. You set your schedule and frequency. I recommend starting with one session per week until you feel you have a good grasp on your goals, then we can move to every other week and eventually every other month for accountability. There is no minimum or maximum requirement for coaching sessions.
-
What is the cancellation policy?CANCELLATIONS All sessions are required to be fully paid for at least 24 hours in advance to confirm your scheduled time. Once paid, sessions are not refundable. RESCHEDULE If you need to reschedule a session, please send a written notice by text or email no less than 24 hours before your session to transfer your session to another date. LATE NOTICE OR NO SHOWS If written notice is provided less than 24 hours of the appointment or you do not show up to the scheduled appointment, 100% of the session fee will be deducted. I offer a one-per-calendar-year fee waiver per client to account for sudden illnesses and emergencies. LATE ARRIVAL If you are late for a session, the session will still end at the scheduled end time regardless of the late start to be respectful of the next client's time.
-
Where do the sessions take place?Sessions can take place over Google Meet (video), phone call, or in person depending on location.* *In-person sessions are not currently being offered.
-
How many sessions will I need to achieve my goals?Since every person and their individual goals differ greatly, there is no one-size-fits-all recommendation for the duration of coaching. On average, it takes 5-10 sessions to map out a sustainable goal plan, allowing time to make adjustments as needed. However, most clients come in with several goals they would like to achieve and therefore are in coaching for longer than 10 sessions to achieve multiple goals, focusing on one at a time. There is no minimum or maximum requirement for coaching sessions.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?Clinical therapy is designed to focus on one’s past and how it affects the present. A therapist will typically explore your past experiences, childhood, and traumatic events to assess and diagnose your current symptoms and state. A therapist will then guide you through healing using various therapeutic modalities. A Coach focuses on the present and the future. While life coaching does take the past into consideration in order to understand who you are today, the work will focus on your present and where you want to be in the future. Coaching can include therapeutic modalities used in therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Theory, mindfulness, and somatic breathing techniques - however, they will be used to work on the present and the future. Coaches cannot diagnose, treat, or give any medical or psychiatric advice. Unless also under the care of a therapist, coaching is not recommended for individuals who are currently struggling with severe depression, anxiety, addiction, self-harm, or suicidal ideation. A Coach cannot be your emergency contact for mental health emergencies. If a Client is experiencing suicidal thoughts or has a history of suicidal thoughts or attempts, the Client must disclose this information to the Coach and seek professional psychiatric help from a therapist and/or a psychiatrist.
-
I am already in therapy, can I also have a coach?Absolutely. A large portion of my clients are both in therapy and coaching simultaneously. Clients reap the benefits of clinical healing of emotional and traumatic experiences with their therapists while symbiotically working with me to take action on their day-to-day short and long-term goals.
-
Do you take insurance?Coaching is not covered by health insurance and cannot be billed as such. While health insurance plans typically provide coverage for medical and therapeutic services aimed at treating diagnosed illnesses or conditions, life coaching is considered a personal development service that focuses on enhancing your overall well-being, setting and achieving goals, and improving your life skills and therefore falls outside the scope of services typically covered by health insurance policies.
-
Can I use my HSA and FSA card to pay for sessions?Since coaching services are not considered medical expenses, coaching does not qualify as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) expense. These accounts are designed to cover qualified medical expenses and treatments that are directly related to medical care. Coaching services, while beneficial for personal development and goal achievement, do not fall within the scope of eligible expenses for FSA or HSA reimbursement.
-
What ages do you take as clients?I currently accept clients 13 and older. For clients 13-23, I use a young-adult empowerment approach that is slightly different from the approach I take with my adult clients.
-
Can I contact you outside of our sessions? Text, call, or email?Unlike other mainstream coaching and therapy platforms, in order to provide you with my full attention and quality of coaching, our work will only take place during our scheduled sessions. Texts and emails between sessions are only for scheduling purposes. In terms of accountability outside of scheduled sessions, within our sessions we will explore and identify tools for you to implement to to keep yourself accountable, rather than relying on external accountability from others.
